With a careful winemaking process and proper aging, wines can last several years after it is released and continue to develop to the point of perfection. At Turiya, I keep a small amount of older vintage wines in the library to help with the assessment of the lifespan of the wine. This purposeful extended aging allows me to continue to bottle age these wines, tasting them during the process, and making valuable notes for future vintages.
